Munich is a winter and Christmas wonderland. The Christmas market on Marienplatz will be crowded, but it is a must-see. If you are into playing or watching the ice game of curling, check out the track in front of the Nymphenburg Palace. During Advent, hop aboard the Christmas tram (after buying a ticket!) to escape the cold. If the weather gets to be too cold, there are many spas in Munich, or you can also go to the Botanical Gardens. Take a 2-hour drive from the city to the highest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze. Once there you can go hiking or skiing and enjoy the views. The roads within Munich can be traversed in a luxury sedan, but if heading out of the city, an SUV or 4-wheel-drive vehicle with winter tires is recommended. And be sure to check the availability of ski racks.

Von außen beeindruckt das Neorenaissance-Gebäude bereits durch seine imposante Fassade, innen herrscht rustikal-bajuwarische Gemütlichkeit unter dem aufwendig gestalteten Deckengewölbe. Unten kommen gesellige Runden zusammen, mehr Ruhe genießen Sie in der Bierstube im zweiten Stock. Bei schönem Wetter lädt der Biergarten zum Verweilen ein. Das Hofbräuhaus serviert deftige und typisch bayerische Köstlichkeiten von der Schweinshaxe bis zum Braten zu moderaten Preisen. Mindestens eine Maß Bier gehört zum Hofbräuhaus-Besuch natürlich dazu.
Mit ihren festen, vielfach verstellbaren Polstern gefällt die Sitzbank in der zweiten Reihe. Damit eine Viererrunde entsteht, müssen die Stühle im Fahrerhaus mit einiger Mühe gedreht werden. Nachts wird aus der Bank nach Umlegen der Polster und Umsetzen der Kopfstützen zusammen mit dem gedrehten Fahrersitz ein Bett. Weil sich die Fläche aus mehreren Elementen zusammensetzt, lässt der Komfort naturgemäß zu wünschen übrig. Die Front des kompakten Bads links im Heck verleiht dem Wohnraum dank der eleganten, runden Tür einen besonderen Pfiff. Mit Geschick installiert HRZ dahinter Toilette, Duschwanne und Waschbecken auf engstem Raum. Zum Duschen ist der Platz in der Praxis jedoch ein wenig knapp. Wie die meisten Kastenausbauten darf auch der Holiday Travel kräftig zuladen. Die Auflastung auf 3,5 Tonnen schafft noch mehr Reserven. Zum Einladen stehen viele Staufächer bereit. Praktisch ist der über rechte Heckflügeltür zugängliche Gepäckraum unter der Küche. Hier ruht auch der Frischwassertank. Die linke Hecktür gibt den Blick auf einen Teil Bordtechnik frei. Rund um Truma- E-Heizung und Cassettenschacht der Toilette geht hier zwar knapp zu, aber die Installation war beim Testwagen tadellos ausgeführt. Der HRZ Holiday Travel überzeugt mit inneren Werten. Das elektrische Hubbett ist tolles Zubehör; die gewählte Aufteilung passt prima für mobile Paar. Der hochwertige Ausbau schlägt sich freilich Preis nieder. Was reizt, ist Mischung: außen dezent und zurückhaltend gestaltet, innen fein in Schale.
