In dem etwa 850.000 m² großen Areal finden jährlich mehr als 11.000 Veranstaltungen mit knapp 200 Millionen Besuchern statt. Hier werden Weltmeisterschaften und Europameisterschaften ausgetragen aber auch zahlreiche Messeausstellungen und Konzerte. Wahrzeichen des Ortes ist das futuristisch gebaute Olympiastadion mit der Olympiahalle und dem 291,28 m hohen Olympiaturm. Wir haben die Vorrundenspiele für die Handballweltmeisterschft in der Olypiahalle besucht. Der Olympiapark ist absolut besuchenswert, wir waren auf dem Fernsehturm mit herausragender Sicht, tollem Restaurant...haben Sealife besucht...und die Olympiahalle bei den 3 Spielen genossen.. Vorher Karlsplatz besucht und shoppen gewesen... Gegessen haben wir im Restaurant Asado Steak...alles super in München Laim und dann gibt es noch so viele tolle historische Gebäude zu besichtigen ..
