Die Klimaanlage war ausgefallen (ausgerechnet in der heissesten Zeit). Das Hotel hat direkt angeboten, uns als Wiedergutmachung das Frühstück zu offerieren. Beim Auschecken mussten wir zudem nichts für den Parkplatz und die Getränke aus der Minibar bezahlen. Das war mehr als kulant und eine sehr positive Überraschung. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und schön präsentiert.
Das Wahrzeichen Münchens befindet sich ebenfalls in der City: der Dom "Zu Unserer Lieben Frau" oder kurz auch Frauenkirche genannt. Unverwechselbar erheben sich die beiden Zwiebeltürme über die Innenstadt. Fast 100 Meter sind sie hoch und architektonisch an den Felsendom in Jerusalem angelehnt. Seit 1525 schon bestimmt die Frauenkirche Münchens Stadtbild. Einst soll hier sogar der Teufel ein- und ausgegangen sein; davon zeugt ein Fußabdruck in der Eingangshalle. Hier soll der Teufel gestanden haben, als er mit Baumeister Jörg von Halspach um dessen Seele wettete.
München ist eine Metropole der Sterneköche. Einer von ihnen ist Diethard Urbansky, der sich zwei Sterne des renommierten Guide Michelin erarbeitet hat.
